Last Sunday I visited KLIK animation festival in Amsterdam, and went to the animated documentary programs. Its an interesting format. Working with audio interviews for example, allows you to get quite close to people and their stories without having to deal with the intrusiveness of a filmcamera. Also the border between the visibly observable world and the world that only exists in our minds can easily be crossed though the act of drawing.
